Undyed Lincoln Longwool Yarn

$28.00

This is our Lincoln Longwool yarn in its purest form - undyed, unadorned, and spun to highlight the natural luster of this heritage breed. Our sheep are raised with care on pasture in Vermont, and their fleece is professionally sheared, washed, and spun at a local mill to preserve its strength and signature glow. Available in naturally occurring shades from creamy white to silver-gray and charcoal, this yarn is perfect for classic knitwear, textural weaves, and timeless heirlooms. Durable, warm, and proudly unprocessed.

Materials: 100% Lincoln Longwool
Weight: SK or Sport Weight
Yardage: 220 yds
Weight per Skein: 4oz

About the colors:

Charcoal Black: Many individual Lincoln sheep grow black wool for the first 1-2 years of life and then slowly turn gray. This unusual black wool is therefore highly coveted and lustrous - truly lambswool! Grown this year by Cardi, Violet, Frances, and Gloria.

Gray: Our undyed gray yarn comes from our mature ewes, whose fleeces typically become “frostier” as they age. Grown by Phoebe, Queen Anne, Finch, Sweet Pea.

White: Creamy white yarn grown by Helen, Lemony, Cricket, Hobbes, and Fiona.
